Rodrigo Iglesias(Rolls Royce)

BIO: SHPE Vicepresident Central Indiana - Rodrigo was born in El Paso, Texas and raised in Juarez, Mexico.  He has an aerospace engineering degree and an M.B.A. from The University of Texas and is currently pursuing an M.S. Biology from the Purdue School of Science in Indianapolis.  Rodrigo worked for Lockheed Martin Space Operations in Houston for a year and five years for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Fort Worth.  He then spent three years in Rolls Royce on the development on gas turbine engines.  Currently, he is seeking to pursue medicine.  Rodrigo volunteers and is involved with SHPE and the Timmy Foundation.

David Roman VP - Education and College Relationships(ROLLS ROYCE)

Mr. David Roman comes from Chicago, Illinois.  In 2008, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  At the University, David was involved with SHPE since the start of his freshmen year culminating in being elected Internal Vice-President of the student chapter.  Since graduating from the University of Illinois, David has been working at the Rolls-Royce Corporation in Indianapolis.  Besides his regular duties as a Performance Engineer for aircraft engines, he is also the company’s SHPE Champion.  David serves as a liaison between Rolls-Royce and the SHPE Indiana professional chapter.  In 2010, he was elected to be SHPE Indiana professional chapter’s Vice-President of Education & Student Relationships where he coordinates activities with student SHPE chapters.  On the subject of professional and student mentorship David says “Every professional is a role model to the Latino community.  It is our duty and privilege to be mentors for the up and coming engineers of tomorrow.”
